How to synchronize Google OTP – COINRF HELP CENTER

Please follow the process below to check the OTP setting.

Step 1: Check if Google OTP is set up

Please check the Google OTP setup screen. If Google OTP is set up normally, it's the screen below.

Step 2: How to Check for Time Discrepancies Between the Google OTP (Google Authenticator) App and the Server

The latest versions of Android and iOS no longer support the "Time Correction for Codes" feature in the Google OTP (Google Authenticator) app.

Therefore, please follow the instructions below to ensure that your device’s time settings are automatically synced.

This will help prevent OTP authentication errors.

[Android user]
1. Go to [Settings] → [General] → [Date and Time]

2. Make sure the option‘Automatic date and time’ is enabled (switched ON and blue)

3. If it is disabled, turn it back on so your device time is automatically synced with the network time.

[iPhone or iOS user]

1. Go to [Settings] → [General] → [Date & Time]

2. In the Date & Time menu, ensure that ‘Set Automatically’ is enabled (switched ON and green)

3. If it is turned off, turn it back on so your device time is automatically synced with the network time.
